KNF's intiative........

Kakatiya NRI's Forum (KNF) is a registered NGO in Telangana (AP) with a mission of cultural enhancement and development of the Telangana. Apart from financially helping the families of the Telangana martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana statehood, KNF is now organizing "Kalala Telangana", a live art competition followed by an exhibition with an objective to encourage the talent among the artists of Telangana and to portray the rich tradition and culture of Telangana. The program will be graced by eminent personalities from various walks of our lives. Experts in the area of arts and painting would judge the best paintings.

TELANGANA BATUKAMMA JATARA.........

Telangana Jagruthi, led by TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter Kavitha, will organise the Batukamma jatara has unfurled plans to mobilise lakhs of Telangana women to celebrate the Batukamma festival next month, Ten Batukamma floats will tour the 10 districts of Telangana, all reaching Hyderabad on Oct. 15 and culminating in a grand spectacle at Tank Bund culminating in a massive spectacle at the Hussain Sagar on Oct. 15. On the final day, Telangana women will release thousands of colourful Batukamma floral arrangements into the Hussain Sagar.

TRS ideologue Prof K Jayashankar said this was an effort to encourage the people of Telangana to take pride in their culture and heritage. Kavita demanded that the state government should declare Batukamma as a state festival.
